| The East Side | |

An urban neighborhood north of downtown, south of Shorewood and bordering Lake Michigan. Known for being a cultural, trendy area, this neighborhood consist of mansions, duplexes, and apartments. This area is vibrant with life and knowledge from the sidewalks to the many differently architectural styled homes. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee campus is a neighbor. The area has shops, theatres, and the beautiful Lake Park that leads you to the beach. |

Historic Third Ward Association; the Third Ward encompasses many art galleries, theaters, restaurants, apartments and condos, media-related businesses, the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design; the area south of downtown, bordered on the east by Lake Michigan and the Summerfest grounds and on the west by the Milwaukee River. |
| Brewers Hill | |

Brewers Hill is an urban neighborhood west of the Milwaukee River. The neighborhood is located approximately one mile from Milwaukee’s central business district. Brewer’s Hill got its name from the beer barons who lived there during the height of Milwaukee’s beer industry boom. Today the neighborhood has been revitalized with new development and refurbishing of many homes. The area is very unique and trendy. |

Milwaukee has an impressive lakefront which is the area for many activities in the city. Brady street is in the heart of Milwaukee’s East Side and runs east and west, connecting the Milwaukee River to a footbridge that goes down to the lakefront; on Brady Street, you’ll find houses, apartments, stores, apartments above stores, restaurants, a laundry, a hardware store, grocery stores, a drug store, many people walking, a firehouse, churches, coffee shops–an eclectic mix of all that makes a city neighborhood great, in a humble, non-glitzy, non-shopping-mall kind of way; Brady Street was the center of Milwaukee’s hippies during the counterculture days of the 20th century. |

Bay View is a community that borders the Lake Michigan shore and is south of downtown Milwaukee. Just north of Milwaukee and west of the Lake Michigan shores is Mequon/Thiensville. Thiensville is located in the center of Mequon with a quaint, traditional downtown and with the Milwaukee River running through. Schools for these areas are ranked among the top.
